No guts no glory

Posted by swewi on June 29, 2009

It’s official. I have lost my mind. Most of you already knew that it has been close a few times, but it has now happened. Why, you ask, if this is your first visit here? Because I’ve decided to try out for the COSMO CRICKET design team call.

But you see, one of the important things in my life is to have no regrets. And calls for companies like COSMO CRICKET doesn’t come around often. So I have to do it. No guts no glory. Simple as that.

To try out I need to post my fav LO’s with COSMO CRICKET products to my little blog (here 😉 ). So that’s what I’m now doing, hoping that I will get your support in my nervous breakdown from all of this…

Enough rambling then, here we go. My three favourite LO’s first:

eleven words

my daddy my hero

unique

unique - journaling

I’m not a cardmaker by any means, but here’s two cards, made mainly with COSMO CRICKET products:

thank you card

birthday card

To all of you reading this post, I’d like to say; please leave some love – I need it!!!!!!! And to Julie, Lindsey and co I’m simply saying – pick me!!! 🙂

Tomorrow I promise I will add what other products apart from COSMO CRICKET I have used. Right now I need to go to bed. Bye for now!

Liftvarning

Posted by swewi on June 18, 2009

I’ve had a rough day with the kiddies today. Am relieved they went to bed quite easily tonight so that I could just sit on the couch for a while before hitting my scraphaven… Not expecting much to get done though, but it’s great to have the opportunity. Fingers crossed they’ll sleep for a while now!

Anyway. It’s Wednesday, which means a new LO up for lift @ Liftvarning! Today and three Wednesday’s on we’re lifting the creative team. This week my LO looks like this: (can you spot my new favourite range of papers??? Yes! Lime Rickey!!!)

Scrap 365

There’s also a Green Tara flower sprayed with glimmermist, Carolee’s Creations mini alphas, Pearlmaker and a Jillibean Soup journaling tag on there.

Speaking of Jillibean Soup, I don’t think I shared my LO for last weeks lift @ Liftvarning? I’ve used a lovely embossed cs from Bazill, paper from Crate paper and then some Jillibean Soup together with Rose Moka minialphas & BG alphas. Another LO for my Sweden album. Can you believe I was there A YEAR AGO?!?!?! Time sure flies…

Scrap 359

Okidoki. Back to the scrapping desk. Trying to decide if I should work on the mini album I just started, or try and finish the LO that’s been staring at me for the last couple of days.

See ya!

In my last post…

Posted by swewi on June 10, 2009

… I asked if you had seen BAZZ. Well, we’ve found him! It’s all about Bazzill cardstock! The DT over at Scrappin Patch was challenged to create a LO with only two pieces of cardstock. No ready made embellies or patterned paper allowed. I got out my bottles of glimmermist, did some stamping as well, and this is the result:

Scrap 356

Pretty cool what you can do with just two pieces of paper huh?!?!

Get over to the forum and check out what the rest of the DT did, and don’t forget to show us what YOU can do too! And there’s no excuses as the shop  is having a sale on Bazzill. Go on. Head over there. You know you want to…

My oh my…

Posted by swewi on June 9, 2009

It’s been busy around my house. Sick kiddos just make the days so much more busy!! Fingers crossed they’re both on the mend now. Although Elsa had her shots today, so she might be feeling crap later. One hour at a time at the moment!

🙂

So. It’s been a few days since I shared my creations with you. I’m suuuuuuure you’ve missed me… 😉

Let’s start with the LO for Liftvarning. If you wanna play, you need to get your LO in before tomorrow morning, NZ time. I’ve used Collage Press die cut pp, 3 bugs in a rug & MM pp, 2Crafty chipboard butterflies, painted with maroon ink, Bazill pom pom ribbon, Maya Road rub-ons, Carolee’s creations & AC alphas, pearlmaker, random white flower and white journaling pen. The title says “Christmas fun”.

Then, the ongoing weekly challenge over at the Sketchbook. Beverly set this weeks challenge, and it’s to scrap in GRUNGE style. Don’t know if my LO is grunge, but here it is anyway…

DSC01107

Products used; kraft cs, brown and red glimmermist, brown ink, Prima flowers, Bo Bunny ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls, journaling tags from Paper Plus, staples, BG alphas.

Yesterday I set a challenge at Scrappin’ Patch – to play with your journaling spots! I got some cool journaling spots from Jillibean Soup recently, and tried to be creative with them on this LO. Papers & other embellies are  my new fav – BG Lime Rickey – alphas are also BG, but another range.

DSC01105

Come and show what YOU can do with YOUR journaling spots!

And then two LO’s I did just for me…

“jump” has papers from and embellies from SassafrasLass, alphas from AC & bling from Kaisercraft.

DSC01106

This next LO has paper from Kaisercraft, butterfly from 2Crafty, BG buttons, misc charm, alphas from Rose Moka, Scenic Route and Websters pages. There’s a whole lot of journaling on the back of the LO. If you knwo a little bit about me, you know what the journaling is about. If you don’t, and you’d like to know; leave a comment and I will reply to you and tell you a little bit about it!!

🙂

JUNE!!

Posted by swewi on June 3, 2009

In Sweden, June means summer. In New Zealand, June means winter. As I lived in Sweden for 30 years before moving here, I’m still finding it hard to put June and winter together. So I’m not handling the chill very well. Thankfully the last few days have been very sunny, so I get a sort of summery feel in the midst of winter, but I’m still confused…

Sometimes it helps scrapping summery photos to get the summery feel back!!

🙂

I did just that when scrapping the latest challenge over at Scrap the girls. Man o man this months challenge was a CHALLENGE!!! But you really have to get over there and participate, it’s awsome prizes up for grans as usual!! So, here is my eample… The story of the swing:

June challenge Annelie

Products used: Bazill kraft cs, scrap pp for tree and sun, the sun has been sprayed with “Lemon Zest” glimmermist, BG Lime Rickey pp for flowers and leaves, Fancy Pants die cut birds, and Amy Butler die cut butterfly, misc green ric rac ribbon & buttons, Carolee’s Creations and Scenic Route alphas. Have used dimensional magic on the flowers and the little “fly marks” for the butterfly.

Another summery LO for a challenge on a Swedish site here: “The worlds best Catti”.

Scrap 348

Products used: Bazill white cs, Deja Views die cut pp, Prima pearl swirl, flowers and leaves, My little shoebox & Heidi Swapp alphas, Heidi Grace drops & black journaling pen.

And another LO with my two gorgeous girls with the title “totally impossible”. The LO is about how the doctors told me that it was totally impossible for me to ever get pregnant. Right…

Scrap 347

Products used: Jenni Bowlin pp, misc music pp, Prima bling swirl & leaves cut out of a floked transparancy, flower from Spotlight sprayed with “Starfish” glimmermist, Kaisercraft rhinestones, 7Gypsies paperclip, misc ribbon and journaling tag, alphas from Carolee’s Creations & MM & black journaling pen.

Scrap 347 journaling

Right. Better feed Elsa before it’s time to pick Tova up from pre-school. Thanks for stopping by!!

Where did my links go???

Posted by swewi on June 1, 2009

Is something up with WordPress, or is it just my blog that has gone bananas?? I can’t see my links on the side. Can you???

I’ll just cross my fingers and hope that all is back to normal tomorrow…

In the meantime, here’s some more LO’s for you!! I’m on a roll… 🙂 I’ve participated in a couple of challenges on Swedish sites this weekend, and this is the result. Both are made from sketches.

Scrap 345

On this “our own paradise”, I have used Bazill white cs, some scrap pp, a Prima bling swirl, Carolee’s Creations mini alphas, Pink Paislee alphas, and a black pen. The flower comes from Spotlight, and I wish I had bought some more ’cause I love it!!!

Scrap 346

This LO says ” monster tummy”, and in my journaling I talk about how I was freaked out about my size early in my pregnancy, ’cause you’re only getting bigger aye…

Products used are Bazill white dotted cs & pom pom ribbon, ribbon from Bo Bunny, alphas from Carolee’s Creations & BG Marrakesh, and then of course the very awesome papers and journaling spots from Jilibean Soup! Love’m! Have also used my precious Pearlmakers. My sister sent me some new colours last week, that suited these papers beautifully!!

I was going to show you this months example LO for Scrap the Girls, but the challenge is not up until tomorrow, so will come back and post it then. Maybe I’ll show you what I’m working on tonight then as well. Like I said, I’m on a roll…

Thanks for stopping by!!
