10 favourites

On a bunch of Swedish scrapbooking blogs, they are listing their 10 favourite LO’s of the year that has passed. As I have nothing new to show at the moment, I thought I’d do the same! I’ve managed to do 160+ LO’s this year (!!!!) and then there are the OTP’s as well… So, pretty good outcome of 2008 me thinks!

Guess and win!

So, in two weeks (if nothing happens before then!!) our baby will be joining us on the outside world… 🙂 As we don’t know the sex of this baby, I thought I’d tempt you to guess! Simple! In the Patch!!!

Very good news – I made the NZ shop Scrappin’ Patch’s first Design Team!!! I am soooooo proud! I will work with some fabulous ladies too, Adrienne and Pauline who owns the shop, and then Kate, Delys and Tracy who are on the DT with me!!! The very talanted Beverley and Heidi will be guest designers on top of that. What a team!

 

YAHOOOO!!!

I did  another page for my Sweden album last night. I’m doing really easy pages, as the whole point is documenting what we did during our trip, or mostly Tova of course, and it feels good. This is about how my sister introduced Tova to redcurrants. They’re quite sour to eat right of the bush, so we didn’t think she’d like it. We were wrong. We had a hard time getting her away from them from that day!!!

 

One teeny weeny LO

The last couple of days my concentration has been on my big belly, and on house hunting! It seems we MIGHT have a buyer (finally – after about 8 months) for our house, so we’ve started looking around again. This has meant less time and mojo for scrapbooking. BUT – one little LO have been done! Another one for my Sweden album, I should really do more for that one. I’m still not used to the 8.5×11″ format though!

 

On this LO I have used BG Ambrosia range, and my lovely red pearlmaker… 🙂 This is the last photo from our trip, a group photo of my family of friends in Stockholm, the night before we left for NZ. Unfortunately Tova had already gone to sleep when the photo was taken, so she’s the only one missing… I had a wee cry when making this LO, I miss them all so much.

 

Where have I been?

I’ve been here. At home. Mostly just sitting down, feeling hot and fat… And sore. Can’t wait for this pregnancy to be gone burger!! (nice kiwi lingo, yes?) So. I have not been in a blog mood. Scrapping though, that’s different!!! I’ve done quite a few LO’s, and some OTP’s. Was happy to finish off  Tova’s teacher’s presents, as they had their Christmas concert yesterday.

So, to sum up – I didn’t place in the Pyssel Passion comp, and I didn’t make Magistical Memories DT. Both very expected, but off course I’m disappointed! I’m very happy with what I ended up creating for both things though, and I feel I have outdone myself from time to time. Gotta love that!!!

 

Time to share then, what I have been up to lately. The last LO is my entry to the latest “Stars in their eyes” challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch, where Mou Saha was the inspiration. Very different, but I love how it came out!!

Scrap the girls and more!

It’s the first of December, and the first challenge is up @ Scrap the girls! It’s a sketch challenge this time. We also want you to use something pink, and flowers on you LO. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

 

This is my take on the sketch, make sure you pop over to the blog and check the other team members LO’s. Some amazing inspiration, AND PRIZES over there!!

 

 

I can also show you my entries for the final over at Pyssel Passion. There where two challenges. The first one was to do a LO “chabby chic style”, and the theme was love. You had to use two photos on your LO. My LO is about the love for my daughter…

 

 

Since I’ve used a Magistical Memories “fancy frame” on the LO, I also submitted it as my last entry to their DT search round 2. I inked it with brilliance ink, then used my clear crackle paint, and some glimmer mist on top of that, and last a few pearls. Detail shots:

 

 

 

The second challenge was more tricky… The LO had to be in “freestyle”, and you also had to choose a particular color scheme; for example analogue, triadic, triangular or my choice – square. I ended up with primary colours; blue, red, yellow and green. You also had to use something older than 20 year on your LO – object on photo didn’t count! Yikes… As most of you know, I haven’t been in this country for more than 5 years, and don’t have a lot of older stuff where I am now. So I had to slaughter an old kids book of mine… 🙂 The things we do for our hobby, aye… I simply cut out “Pippi Longstocking” and her horse and put on my LO. This LO says “The worlds prettiest Pippi” and is about when my beautiful goddaughter Lea dresses up as Pippi. I choose the size 8.5×11″ as this will go into my Sweden album!

The winner in this competition will be announced on Wednesday (or probably Thursday NZ time). I’m not EXPECTING to win, but obviously HOPING!!! Cross your fingers for me please!!! 😉

 

OK, one last thing. I’ve decided to resign from the Scrap with V DT. A hard decision, but I think it’s the right one. My last kits for them will be up in the shop today or tomorrow.
