Do you like to scraplift?

Posted by swewi on April 29, 2009

I do! I think it’s an excellent way to create. You can find so much inspiration in others layouts. So. That’s why I’m SO HAPPY about the fact that I am one of the designers/contributors to the new, hot, Swedish, scraplift challenge blog “LIFTVARNING“!!!! (roughly translated; warning for lift)

Yay me! I feel so proud to be “recognized” on the Swedish scrapscene!

Every Wednesday a new LO gets published on the blog, together with the DT/contributors take. You then have ’til Tuesday the next week to email YOUR lift. There’s no prizes involved, but the DT will vote on who gets published in the blog every week. Cool huh??? Also – anyone can email in a LO for the team to lift! If you’re not Swedish – let me know if you have queries about all this, and I’ll help you!!

So, the first LO to lift have been published today, together with some lovely DT inspiration. You will also find my presentation there (in Swedish, but I think you’ll get it!!) Go have a look!  Go on! You know you want to!!!

This is my LO for the first lift; “Little Elsa”:

I’ve used “the other side” on some BG Wassail paper, BG brads, some ribbon, a pin and mini alphas from MM, and thickers from American Craft. I used a Hero Arts script stamp on my flowers from Kaisercraft, and the tickets are home made.

IN OTHER NEWS – we’re celebrating (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day on the Scrappin’ Patch Forum on Saturday. Don’t miss that!!! I might miss it, unfortunately… We might go see family up north for the weekend, but we’ll see. After all – scrapbooking is VERY important. Right?

Oh, and have you seen Scrappin’ Patch’s new home page? It’s gooooooooregous!! And there’s a little bit there about me should you be curious…

Bye for now!!!

I got an email yesterday, with some happy news! Scraprelated? Yes… Can I share yet? No. But soon. All I can say is that I’ll probably be doing more LO’s in Swedish than I have before. But then, who knows… It’s great to know more than one language!

In the meantime, I have no LO’s to share unfortunately. But maybe a card? How does that sound? 😉 I’m definately not a cardmaker, but am happy with this one. Had fun with some kindyglitz, some glimmermist, ink, rhinestones and some Prima goodies…

News to be revealed soooooooon…

Couldn’t come up with a heading for this post. There you go. It’s Friday I suppose…

Just wanted to update with some LO’s. Haven’t been very productive, didn’t do anything for about 5-6 days! Very unusual for me… Here’s some stuff I can share anyway:

This is a scraplift from a very talented Swedish scrapper; Kate. The title says “building sand castles with daddy”.

This says “holiday job” and is for a sketch challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch.

Can’t really translate this title, but it’s about when my sis came with me and Tova on a roadtrip and we had a break during the long drive to get some snacks and stuff… 🙂

This is for tonights Friday night challenge at the Sketchbook, to use stamps. I’ve stamped the butterflies on to patterned pp and then cut them out. The title and journaling circle are also stamped.

This title says “lost in the land of fairytales”.

Lot of Swedish LO’s for once, huh?!?!?

Hoping to get some inspiration to scrap in the weekend. This stormy weather should help…

See you all soon, thanks for leaving a comment before you move on!!

Laying low

Posted by swewi on April 14, 2009

Two nights in a row with NO SCRAPPING? How is that possible for me? Well… I’ve got the flu, and my girls have been trouble lately. Nothing new there though, it has just made me more tired than normal.

Still, I’ve got creative stuff to share with ya! First a LO after the newest sketch and technique challenge over at Up2Scrap (check out the blinkie to the right). I love how this LO came out, mostly because of the photo I think. Tova looks so beautiful…

And the next LO is another Pink Paislee one. Love those papers! Isn’t my chubby baby just so cute in this photo??

And then an example LO for a product challenge – to use foam stamps – over at Scrappin’ Patch. The challenge set by Heidi is still going. Head over there to participate!

Well, I think that’s it for tonight. Check in here tomorrow for some more. 🙂

Oh – I almost forgot! Another LO… 🙂 For the chance to win a Paper Pesto kit I made this LO, with supplies supplied by Paper Pesto at the Sketchbook Retreat!!

Bye bye!

I’m so exciiiiiiiiiiiiteeeeeeeeed!!!

Posted by swewi on April 8, 2009

If you’ve read my last few posts, you know I have been pretty busy lately. I’ve been scrapping lots and lots for SBO’s Amazing Race to be able to get lots of tickets for the big draw. The main price was a spot at the Autumn Retreat in Taupo in May. The 2nd and 3rd price was MM products, worth a whole lot of $$$$.

I am very happy to announce that one of my tickets was drawn as the second number!!! I don’t get to go to the retreat, but will have a lot of MM goodies coming my way. YAAAYYY!!! I’m soooooo happy!! I never win anything, so this is so amazing!!! It made my day, it truly did.

I am also happy about the fact that I have had two more LO’s accepted for publication. Feels fabulous, I have to say.

Finally, show and tell time. I love this LO, mainly because it is just over the top… 🙂 Too many flowers, but hey. What’s a girl to do? It’s the LO done for the North/South retreat/camp challenge, based on Trina McClune’s sketch. If you’ve never visited her blog, it’s about time you do. She’s VERY inspiring!

The beautiful flower vine from Prima is just so wonderful to work with, you can find it in the Scrappin’ Patch shop. I got the GORGEOUS Melissa Francis embellies and the Pink Paislee alphas from Scrappin’ Patch as well. Have you checked in there lately? There’s lots of new challenges happening, and at the moment all of us in the DT has some Easter inspiration going on as well. AND, GET THIS – they have 30% off everything from Thursday 9 April until Tuesday 14 April!!!! Check out the details on their website!

Have a lovely, creative Easter everyone. HUGS!!!

…but have lots to share. All the LO’s are for the last few challenges over at SBO, for the Amazing Race!

So here goes – before I fall asleep in front of the screen!!

Sorry ’bout the bad photos!

 five buttons

And I’m ESPECIALLY sorry for this last photo. I just can’t be bothered re-taking it. It’s for the last challenge of the competition. We were to scraplift a LO of choice from the SBO DT. I chose this LO from Vcki Gibson:

And if you think I did all this at the scrap camp, you’re very wrong. Elsa was not happy, and decided that my arms was the place to be, 90% of the time. That’s OK though, she’s allowed. I started doing the first LO in the post during camp, but didn’t finish. All the rest is done today in between all the other things a mother does…

So, night all. See you soon!!

Have used MME papers again. Love’m…

I’m not even gonna act surprised. I am aware now that the time FLIES by!! I went to weigh and measure my bubba today, and that clearly tells me she is not a newborn anymore. Jeepers… April!!!

So. A new month means a new challenge over at Scrap the Girls! As always a great challenge and amazing prizes. Won’t spill the beans about the challenge here, go to the blog to find out!!! But – here’s my example for this month:

Recognize the photo?? Yep. Scrapped a page for Elsa with the same photo a couple of weeks ago. So it has begun – the task of scrapping the same photo twice. Quite a challenge, but it’ll be worth it of course!!

Then, my LO for yesterdays challenge over at SBO. Our travels have now taken us to Scandinavia (yay!!!) and we were to do a wintery LO. Here’s mine: (yes I like the die cut papers!!!)

Today a new sketch is up a the Sketchbook. This is my (very simple) version of the sketch:

OK. WordPress playing with the size of my photos. Time to stop blogging, and start scrapping!!

Will be back tomorrow… Cyber hugs to all my readers!!!
