Home alone

I’ve got an evening on my own, DH & the girls are staying the night at my inlaws. We’re having a logistical nightmare with childcare on Thursday’s, so tomorrow the girls will be with their nana.

So, a quick little share before I head into my scrap studio!!

First, a LO for the latest Allt Om Scrap ezine. We were challenged to use a minimum of 7 manufacturers on the LO, and I managed to get 10 on there! This is another LO with the latest Studio Calico kit that I did during the Autumn Escape weekend.

 

 

Then, a LO for a sketch challenge over at Studio Calico. A simple LO for a simple but stunning sketch.

Long overdue update

Last weekend saw me scrapping away in Taupo at the Autumn Retreat. A fabulous event organised by Nic Howard & Lucy vanderLoos and their clever helpers. I had registered for one class with international tutor Becky Fleck, but when there I decided to register for another one, and I’m happy I did. The classes were great, and the material was fantastic and the amount of products we were given was very generous. The shop was also fantastic, and I bought some must haves that made my weekend!!

It was great catching up with a lot of my online friends, and the ones that I had met before. My table mates were Jane & Megan, and Jane was my roomie as well. We had loads of giggles throughout the weekend, and the catch phrase for our table was “I think you’ll find that’s a no”… Yeah. You had to be there for that one…

Sue was my awesome driver/travel companion. We talked all the way to Taupo and back, scrapbooking people are just the BEST I tell ya!

The food at the Waireki Resort was awesome, the beds were supercomfy, and the spa was divine. Taupo was slightly chilly, and we had rain all of Saturday, but I am happy with the weekend all in all. Not sure if I will ever do it again, but I’m please I did it this time around.

Honestly – I’m really happy with this  LO… I LOVE the photo of Elsa, and the Gabrielle line from Bo Bunny is just so gorgeous!!! I have lots more of that line, and some Timepiece as well that I will be playing with this weekend at the AUTUMN RETREAT in Taupo!

I’m leaving tomorrow afternoon, and I’m SO excited! See you all when I’m back from a relaxing and creative weekend! Ciao!

I’m a busy bee

Yes I am. But not with scrappy things really. Work is crazy, and family life is full on like normal.

I’m saving my crafty mojo for next weekend when I will be scrapping away at the Autumn Retreat in Taupo. Can’t wait! I just have NO IDEA what and how to pack. But that’s normal for me. I will just do what I normally do – pack everything…

I do have some LO’s to share with you though, but before I forget I’d like to remind you that a new ezine is out over at Allt om Scrap. The girls have created stunning stuff as usual, and also – please check out the big open publication from last week. Amazing inspiration and tutorials in there!

And – would also like to toot a little bit about Molly’s Scrapbooking. She has now opened an online shop! She still does the monthly kits, but you will be able to buy a lot of your other needs and wants from her shop!

OK, sharing! First a LO for Magistical Memories. I have used their scalloped border strip, and ther rest is Fancy Pants stuff!

I sprayed the border with pearl glimmermist.

I love my accordeon flowers!

And keeping with the colourful theme, two LO’s with Sassafras Lass for Scottie Crafts.

Well that’s it for now. Would also like to say thanks for all your positive feedback on my last post. I didn’t get on the Lily Bee team this time, naybe next time it’s my turn. I am still happy with my creations, and that’s the main thing right?
