Let’s celebrate!

Posted by swewi on August 8, 2012

So I still can’t tell you about my newest scrappy secret. Sorry. Soooon. Promise!

In the meantime I’d like to celebrate the fact that I have had over 40,000 visitors on this blog since I started it. (This is my second scrappy blog since 2006). I am VERY excited about that number, and VERY grateful for all of you that takes time to stop by and say hello!!!

And if you know me, you know that I like to give things AWAY. So that’s what I’m doing!!!!

You all know I am on the DT for the amazing shop Scrappin’ Patch. Well – what I want you to do is go to the online shop here: http://scrappinpatch.co.nz and have a look at the newest items. Leave a comment here, telling me which products you LOVE at the moment, and you can win a voucher worth $30 from the shop to BUY just that!!! (Just to be clear – the shop is NOT sponsoring me to do this, I just want to give someone who reads my blog something cool, and I want the winner to be able to pick out something they LOVE!)

Come on – what are you waiting for???

Cheery Lynn

Posted by swewi on August 11, 2011

A couple of months back, I bought three dies from Cheery Lynn. I am in love, and have used them for many things. So, seeing they have a DT call I thought I’d share them with you and put my hand up with all the other 100 or so über talented applicants!

So how have I used my doilies?

I have used them for my almost 5-year old’s birthday party invites:

On layouts:

On this card that will be going to a dear friend very soon:

And the ugliest project I’ve done in a while, but most fun to do, and most appreciated project by the girls in a long time – a snow cloud:

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

New Releases

Posted by swewi on November 13, 2009

Click here to see some new releases from A 2 Z Scraplets. Fabulous stuff!! This is one of my LO’s using new scraplets; the words Life Time:

Annelie Maddock - November 09

I have painted the chipboard wirds with blue crackle paint, and then I used some dimensional magic too. Love the effect!! Other products used: Prima all the way, apart from the lace – that’s Webster’s Pages, and the white Bazzill cardstock sprayed with glimmermist. And yes, it’s another old photo of me. It’s from the same shoot as the other one I shared with you the other day, from 1999!! I just found them hiding in a drawer…

Back to bed for me, I’m having a bad day today… See ya!

Shabby and clean

Posted by swewi on November 10, 2009

So…. Got some more stuff to share from the weekend! First a LO that I’m submitting to this month’s challenge over at Let’s Get Shabby. This month the challenge is to make your own embellishment. Mine is quite obvious – the fan!

Mrs F

This LO is on it’s way down to Invercargill as we speak. Because this beautiful girl is not mine. 🙂 Mrs Frizz had the choice to get a photo scrapped by me as a part of her RAK if she wanted to, and she sent me this gorgeous photo!

Products used: Prima pp, flower, leaves and bling, have used a Martha Stewart punch, some misc feathers & pins, and another one of my MIL’s old satin curtains. The alphas are Karisercraft chipboard that have been painted, glimmermisted & then I’ve sprinkled some lovely diamond dust on them! I hope you like it Mrs F!

The next LO is for the latest sketch over at the Swe Scrapbook blog. Not at all shabby as you can see!!!

Products used: Bazill white cs, BG Eskimo Kisses pp, & alphas, BG doilie pp, Pink Paislee & Jenni Bowlin alphas, Prima flower & leaves. Butterflies are done with the Martha Stewart butterfly punch. The title says “Summer is here”.

So. Two totally different LO’s today. And I might be back tomorrow again, with some more STUFF!! Oh – and lookie here

Let’s get shabby!

Posted by swewi on October 15, 2009

Yes, LET”S!!! I found this cool challenge blog, and of course I had to play – ’cause you know I love the shabby chic style!!

So, again I’ve used Webster’s pages. The base of the LO is actually Glitz design pp, and I’ve also used a music note pp & a page from and old book by Winston Churchill. That must fall in the category of vintage, don’t you think? Have also used some old satin fabric, my MIL’s old curtain again, and a butterfly of some sort that my MIL found at some flea market years ago. Have also used Prima flowers & lace, Kaisercraft pearls, a Tim Holtz book plate, and alphas from Webster’s pages & BG. Hade FUN doing this page!

Remember you have FIVE more days to comment on any post on my blog to be in the draw for a nice RAK. Good luck!

Over at the Sketchbook we have some cool stuff coming… Keep an eye on the forum to not miss out!!!

And then – some LO’s to share!!

Scrap 410

“You right now” for a colour challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch. Products used: dotty pp from MME, some Bazzill cs & some scrap pp. Bazzill pom pom ribbon, Robin’s Nest dewdrops, misc flower & button. Have put kindyglitz on the AC thickers. The fabulous leaves are from one of Neen’s mini kit’s.

The next LO is also for Scrappin’ Patch. They sent me a very cool chipboard title from 2Crafty to do something with. This is what I did:

Scrap 415

The 2Crafty chipboard title has been used in three different ways; the guitar is covered in paper, then I stuck a “lip” sticker from AC on there. The wire & word ROCK has been painted black, the word STAR is covered withPearlmaker. Other products used; pp & stars from MME, Bazzill cs, rub-ons from Glitz design & pins from Spotlight. Alphas from Jenni Bowlin.

Then, the last LO for tonight (I’ve been writing this post since 11am, and just really want to get it posted!) is for this weeks challenge at the Sketchbook (deadline at midnight tonight). I’ve used a sketch from A Million Little Things:

Scrap 413

Again, I’ve used pp’s from MME. Flowers are Zva Creative, leaves and ribbon from Prima, MM sticker and pin from Spotlight. The alphas are AC & Carolee’s Creations.

OK. I have a LO to finish, see y’all later! Thanks for stopping by!!

Queen’s birthday fun

Posted by swewi on May 28, 2009

On Monday we are celebrating the English Queen’s birthday here in NZ (just some info for you non NZ’s out there reading my blog). It’s even a holiday here, people stay home from work to “celebrate”.

Anyway, at Scrappin’ Patch forum we are doing some fun stuff from tomorrow Friday to honour Her Majesty, so pop in for a bit of challenges and inspiration!!!

And, there’s a new lift up at Liftvarning, and I really LOVED the LO we lifted this week. I also LOVE how my LO came out. Can you spot a little bit of Lime Rickey in there? Yum!! My title says “proud”.

We have a very nice and sunny day here today, so I better feed the monkeys so we can get out there! Have a great Thursday everyone!!!

I got an email yesterday, with some happy news! Scraprelated? Yes… Can I share yet? No. But soon. All I can say is that I’ll probably be doing more LO’s in Swedish than I have before. But then, who knows… It’s great to know more than one language!

In the meantime, I have no LO’s to share unfortunately. But maybe a card? How does that sound? 😉 I’m definately not a cardmaker, but am happy with this one. Had fun with some kindyglitz, some glimmermist, ink, rhinestones and some Prima goodies…

News to be revealed soooooooon…
