A boy page!

Posted by swewi on October 30, 2010

Believe it or not, I have done a boy page! My friend had a baby a few months ago, and I hace scrapped her little boy for Hannah’s colour challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch:

Products used: BG basics pp, MME papers & embellies, Tattered Angels glimmermist, Tim Holtz metal decos, Twiddleybitz chipboard, Zva Creative flowers & brads, BG alphas, AC thickers & Webster’s alphas & lace.

Then a LO “just because”. Doesn’t happen often! It’s quite simple, the products just makes this page pretty anyway I think. Oh – and my gorgeous Tova of course…

Products used: Webster’s Pages pp’s, lace & bloomers, Zva Creative bling & pearl swirls, & misc doilies.

Then, last but not least, a LO that I made over a year ago but I still LOVE it. It was for my Up2Scrap application. My term there is now over and I will share some of my projects I made for them here on the blog now and then.

Products used: Bo Bunny pp’s and embellies, Magistical Memories chipboard branch, Prima flowers, leaves & bling, Zva Creative flowers, misc pins, BG alphas.

As always, most of the products I have used can be found @ Scrappin’ Patch!

OK – I’m off to watch the rugby! See ya later!

Garden games

Posted by swewi on July 4, 2010

There’s a new challenge up on the Up2Scrap blog, set by me this time!  It’s as always a sketch, with a twist, and this is the challenge this time: “Die-cut shapes in 12×12 are very popular at the moment, and a lot of manufacturers have at least one in every new line they release. For this challenge I want you to use one of those die-cuts, but you can’t use it as is. Cut it in at least three pieces, and use them all on your LO. I still want to be able to see what shape the original die-cut was and don’t forget your layout also has to be based on my sketch. “

This is my example:

I’ve used the new fabulous Bo Bunny “Petal Pushers” papers, Pink Paislee & BG alphas, misc buttons, Martha Stewart fence punch, Peterlina butterfly stamps, & pearlmaker.

As always, there’s an awesome prize up for grabs, so come on – play along!

Do you like buttons???

Posted by swewi on March 1, 2010

I do… But I don’t feel I have enough. Can you ever have enough buttons though? Another question – can you guess how many buttons are in this jar?

Well, you should give it a go, because whoever’s guessing closest to the right amount of buttons will receive this (and maybe some other stuff that will be added before the game is over… ) :

Because free stuff is always nice to get, right? Feel free to spread the word too…

Leave a comment before March 19th, on this post, to be in to win! And yes, I will send worldwide!!!

Now, while you’re here, I’d like to share two LO’s with you. The first one is for the latest challenge on the Up2Scrap blog. Have you got your mag yet, by the way? Cool huh? Anyway, the prize for this challenge is SO AMAZING. I wish I could enter…

🙂

The title is a little bit hard to read for some reason, it says “You bring sunshine on a cloudy day”. The photo is taken by Positive Negatives, on our latest family shoot. I have used Bazzill cardstock, Scribble Scrabble patterned pp’s, Robin’s Nest dewdrops, MM pins, Prima lace, 2Crafty chipboard, shimmerz, Pink Paislee alphas, Carolee’s Creations mini alphas, misc buttons & thread, and the fabulous Martha Stewart fence punch! Go on, check the challenge out! You gotta be in to win!

Then, a LO for a challenge on SWE Scrapbook blog. Use patterned paper, distressing and ribbon. My example:

Have used patterned pp from Jillibean Soup, Jenni Bowlin & October Afternoon, Prima flowers, ribbon, bling and alphas, Jenni Bowlin butterfly & Pink Paislee alphas.

I love this photo of my girls, getting their groove on…

Right. Off to the couch I go, have some TV to catch up on!! See you soon!!

Finding you

Posted by swewi on November 30, 2009

Beverley has set a new challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch – use Christmas colours (green/red/gold) on a NON Christmas LO. Oh boy, how I struggled with THAT one!

🙂

This is what I did:

Products used: Webster’s Pages patterned pp & vellum, Magistical Memories chandelier chipbiard covered with Gold stickles, kaisercraft bling, AC alphas, misc ribbon, BG brad, and then I’ve used dimensional magic on the deer.

It’s a pretty cool photo of Elsa, don’t you think?

If you want to see a mugshot of me, head over here!!

Grey outside, colourful on the inside

Posted by swewi on November 24, 2009

Well that’s how it feels at the moment. It’s extremely gloomy here today. Isn’t it supposed to be summer now??? Well, at least my everyday life contains a lot of colours…

🙂

Have two new LO’s to share today. First, a LO for the new colour challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch:

Products used: Bazzill cs, patterned pp from MM & Glitz Design. Have used a Tim Holtz mask & some glimmermist, Glitz Design stickers, Prima bling & alphas, & alphas from MM. Also – my clock stamp from Montarga.

And then a LO for yesterday’s sketch challenge over at SWE Scrapbook. The title says “sisters”.

Products used: Bazzill kraft cs, Jillibean Soup pp’s & journaling spot, Prima fabric tree, pearlmaker & AC thickers.

Both these LO’s are from the stack I did at the retreat, and there are still more to come…

🙂

Oh – and I almost forgot! The new Up2Scrap magazine is finally out! And I’m there – in person! A photo of me, and my submission for the Elite Team call. Very exciting!!! You’ll have to buy the mag to see my stuff, but it’s gonna be worth it!!

😉

See ya!
