Simple stories

Just a quick post today, I want to get creating some teacher’s gift before I crash… 🙂

In the beginning of the month I got a lovely kit from Scottie’s containing Simple Stories “Generations”, little chipboard houses from Studio Calico, and a loooooovely red ribbon. Here are the two first LO’s with that kit:

That is an OLD Prima flower! Was happy to finally use it on a LO!

There’s a new challenge up on the Challenge Me Happy blog. The DT has done an amazing job – again. They ROCK!

I was clearly inspired by the beach theme, and just had to put love in the title. 🙂

Something’s wrong…

Yep. I am serious. There’s something seriously wrong with me. I have started making a few cards. Like many. And I love it. See?! Something is WRONG here! I am not a cardmaker! But I am enjoying it, AND I am even happy with the end result!

 

All thanks to the latest card competition over at the Nook forum. So there you go. Miracles DO happen! So – time to share! My three latest cards, did them all on Saturday, while doing housework and having fun with the family!

 

 

 

 

All cards using MME 6×6 paper pads, and random dekos. LOVE MME. Love love love!

 

So – should I seek help? Do I need medication? Or should I just embrace my new addiction? Your opinion please!

My Minds Eye

I decided to play along with My Minds Eye’s challenges for November. BOTH the LO and card sketch. 🙂 I won’t show you my card, because the people recieving it might peek in here!! But here’s the LO, using 6×6 pads only, and Spellbinder dies. And some alphas of course… 🙂 And the brads are from Girl’s Paperie. Um, and a Prima mask & some glimmermist… Oh – and a Prima flower & cherry flowers from Mollys Scrapbooking. I think that’s all… 🙂

Easter?

I’ve had a few very crafty days. Thursday saw me enjoying two Prima classes, taught bt Cari Fennel & Sharon Lakkonen. I managed to finish two minialbums, who will be perfect as Christmas presents I think…

 

Then, I enjoyed a weekend away with a few other scrappy girlfriends. One of them came all the way from Invercargill!! 🙂

 

So – I got a few things to share, but most of what I did can’t be share straight away. You know the deal… 🙂 But here we go!

 

Never have I combined Cosmo Cricket papers with big, bold flowers – but in the LO below I did. The material including the lovely Manorhouse flowers all comes from Mollys, and the LO is based from the October sketch over at Manorhouse. AND – the title says Easter. It’s Elsa enjoying a rather large chocolate Easter bunny…

1st of the month reveal

SO it’s my birthday month! YAY!!! Won’t celebrate all month though, but got a few fun things planned. Lucky me!!

 

Today is the first day of the month, which means a new challenge is up at Challenge Me Happy! Our new designers have their fist challenge LO up, and all the “old” designers have of course joined them. It’s an AWESOME challenge and a FANTASTIC reveal!! This is my take, but PLEASE go and check all the other inspiration out. And participate – it’s the easiest challenge we’ve had so far!! There’s also a fantastic kit from Mollys Scrapbooking to be won. Yay!!

 

 

I was lucky enough to get sponsored materil from Scrappin’ Patch this month. This is paper & acetate frame from the “Summer’s End” colletion from Fancy Pants. I have to say I struggled a little with the acetate (frame), but finally did something I am quite happy about! I love the soft colours in this collection, together with the orange & bright green!

 

Then – Handmade Halo has their first ever challenge up. A lovely sketch by the talented Em Stafrace. This is my BRIGHT take on the sketch, using Halo goodies:

 

 

 

 

I love this photo of Elsa. It catches her stubborn and independent personality perfectly. She definately goes her own way already…
