I should really be…

…in bed. I’m soooo tired… But, after having two LO’s accepted to two different magazines this year, I want mooooore! So I’m fiddling with LO’s that I might submit. It all depends on the end result of course. Not really FEELING IT at the moment, but hey. One must try!!

 

Anyway.

 

Got some other LO’s to share with you!

 

The first one is for this fortnight’s word challenge over at the Sketchbook. The word is CHANGE. This LO is also a class LO for Scrapbooker’s Delight. I’ve used BG’s Marrakesh, and the journaling is about how Tova and I laid on the couch, talking about what was about to happen, a few days before Elsa came to us.

The next LO is for the last Friday night challenge, also on the Sketchbook. The criteria was to use paper from one manufacturer (I used My Mind’s Eye), two words in the title, and three photos. Loved the challenge, and love how my LO came out!

 

 

Another class LO for Scrapbooker’s Delight next, with BG’s Porcelain range. The title (with BG’s Bittersweet chipboard alphas) says “cutie”.

 

 

 

Last, a LO that celebrates the fact that the first pancake was made today (some years ago) ! The new DT over at Crafty Tart set a challenge to do a round LO in honour of this, and since I’m LOVING to do non-square LO’s at the moment, I just had to play along!

 

 

 

OK. So. You all know by now that I am crazy about challenges and competitions. I haven’t spent much time over at the Scrapbook Outlet forum, simply because there’s not enough hours in the day!! I might check in on Friday though. There’s talk about challenges, nice prizes, and – chocolate creme eggs!!! Can’t miss that… Just remember – PLEASE to also check out the Friday night challenge over at the Sketchbook on Friday. I’ve got something very special planned for that one…

Oh how time flies…

Can you believe it?  Two months of 2009 is already gone! My new baby girl is 8 weeks tomorrow, just crazy!!!

 

 

With a new month comes a new challenge over at Scrap the Girls. This month there’s a VERY inspiring sketch, and awesome prizes as usual. They are also doing a swap at the moment. Check it out!!

 

Anyway, here’s my take on that great sketch:

 

I’ve also been busy with a class LO for Scrapbookers’ Delight. Got to work with BG’s Wassail papers. I’m terrible with Christmas LO’s, but really liked how this one came out!

What else… Hmmm… Oh. Got myself some colourful papers from 3 Bugs in a Rug, and this is what happened:

Back online – for a moment…

Well, it’s certainly different being a mother of two than of one. But I guess that is no surprise to anyone…

 

 

Me and our new little miracle, babygirl Elsa, came home on Saturday afternoon, and we have been trying to settle in at home since. She is fantastic, eating and sleeping is all that she does at the moment, but it’s still a lot to take in for me. I feel quite relaxed though, taking one hour at a time. Luckily, my DH has not started work yet, so he can help with Tova and everything else. And then there is only 10 days ’til my mum and sister comes for a visit. YAY!!

 

We aslo found out today that our DREAM HOME that we have been hoping to buy is ours!!!! So we will be moving in a few weeks time. Not that we are busy with other stuff or anything…  It’s a great year 2009, so far!

 

Anyway, here’s a pic of our lovely Elsa:

 

 

 

Scrapbooking? Have I done any? Actually, yes… Trying to anyway. The first LO i have to show is actually my first LO of the year, I finished it the night before I went in to hospital. It’s about how Tova loves to be pushed outside the house in a wheel barrow… This LO will most probably be available as a class at Scrapbooker’s Delight  later this year.

 

 

And then I’ve been trying to get into it since I got back. Have mostly been shuffling papers around really… I have finished on LO though. One of my best friends here in NZ inspired me… She has been visiting me and Elsa at the hospital EVERY day, and have just been so supportive and helpful. She has always been an amazing friend, and fantastic with  Tova, an extra aunt really. Since I have no family here, she’s just invaluable (is that a word??). A photo of her and Tova has been on top of my pile of photos to scrap for a long time, and the events this last few days gave me the inspiration to do something about it. It’s not a fantastic page, but that’s not always what it’s about – right? This page is DEFINITELY about something else but perfection…

 

 

On this LO I have used a  few of my favourite things at the moment… Dotted CS from Bazill, MM mini alpha’s, Fiskar’s threading water punch, kindy glitz, Eva creative bling swirl, liquid pearls and charms. Most of these products can be found in the Scrappin’ Patch shop!

 

Oh. One more thing before I go! I made you all guess the sex of our new baby, and I had five guesses for a girl:
