Winners!

Posted by swewi on May 15, 2012

My latest giveaway is now CLOSED! I had 23 people interested – thank you ladies! The result of my draw will be at the end of this post, because I want you all to see my creativity first! Ha!

I’ve done quite a lot lately. Especially considering the fact that crafting actually makes me really sore, and I should probably not do much… But it’s MY way of relaxing, and I know I’m preaching to the choir here…

So, I did some creating for the National Scrapbooking Day crop over at the Nook. 11 creations in total, but I won’t show them all at once. :) Here’s the one I was most happy with,  using Echo Park papers & a whole lot of random embellies, including a jean pocket:

Another one for the crop, also using Echo Park:

This one is mostly stamping & misting, but the re’s also some lovely washi tape from D-Lish scraps on there!

Then, a LO using Pink Paislee Prairie Hill, for Scrappin’ Patch:

And Pink Paislee for Scrappin’ Patch again, this time Indigo Bleu:

For Mollys Scrapbooking, using the April kit:

My LO for the Challenge Me Happy sketch that went live today:

And finally, a mother’s day card with some lovely 2Crafty chipboard:

And to think I have LOADS more to share, huh? Better stop now before you go cross-eyed… :)

OK, so here are the winners:

1. A box of PRIMA flowers, and maybe some other embellies too – ERIN, LYNDA & MICHELLE

2. PRIMA papers. Not the latest collections, a mix of older ones. – GYPSYLCM

3. Websters Pages paper. Not the latest collections, a mix of older ones, and maybe some embellies too – CARMEL

4. Mix of patterend papers. Not sure how many, but we are talking 50+ – TANYA & SCRAPPYSUE

5. Alphas – complete sets, maybe 10 or so – BRENDA, JANET, TRACY & LOTTA

6. Alphas – uncomplete sets – LOTS! - THERE’LL BE A FEW OF YOU GETTING THESE

7. Chipboard – leftover from previous DT assignments – LAINIE, IEMKE, STEPH, VICKY & KRIS

8. Misc embellies – different manufacturers, different styles – LOTS! – MANDY, SALLY, JANE & HEIDI

Mini album

Posted by swewi on April 24, 2012

I just realised I haven’t shown you this little minialbum I did, with LYB papers & embellies. It is VERY rarely I do albums. This particular album was made from a single piece of 12×12 paper, I followed a tutorial from the brilliant Lowri McNabb here. I then just added my instax photos, some embellies, & alpha stamps galore. Fun, fun, fun! What do you think??

Oh – and stay tuned. As soon as the wave of pain I am in right now has disappeared there will be a MASSIVE RAK happening right here. On this blog. Ciao!

Creativity

Posted by swewi on April 19, 2012

It’s a funny thing. Creativity. It doesn’t necessarily come in to place when you want it to. When you are have planned to BE creative, when you are child free, or even when you have a WHOLE WEEKEND set aside for it.

I spent last weekend in scrappy heaven, with 144 other scrap crazy ladies, at the Autumn Escape. I was all geared up and ready to do some SERIOUS scrapping, but no. I didn’t “feel” it. I had a WONDERFUL time with my friends, and I had three AWESOME classes; two with Piradee & one with Rachel Tucker. I had loads of new product with me that I was looking forward to using, but no. It didn’t really happen.

I don’t dislike any of the LO’s I finished, but you know the feeling – you feel average. Nothing mindblowing in my bag going home. Such a shame. But that’s life.

Some of what I did is still under wraps, but here are a couple that I CAN share. :)

1st up – a LO for the latest MME challenge, using hexagons:

Then a LO that is NOT this scewered IRL, for the Fancy Pants challenge going on at TwoPeas right now:

I did a whole lotta creating for Molly’s at the retreat, and as soon as it’s been up on the blog – I will share!

This is a card I made for 2Crafty before I went to AE, it was used as a thank you card for one of the sponsors for the weekend; Lily Bee:

Now I have to find some time & MOJO to finish off a few projects, and to make a card for a very SPECIAL little newborn!

Well hello

Posted by swewi on January 26, 2012

Hi blog. Yes I remember you. It’s been too long, I know – but at least I’m here now!

First, I’d lke to share with you my latest DT news – I’ve joined the amazing team over at 2Crafty! They make a fantastic range of chipboard, and the rest of the team is incredibly talanted. My first project will go up on the blog next week, so make sure you make a visit! “Like” them on Facebook too, at the moment they are only a few “likers” away for a giveaway!

On the Challenge Me Happy Facebook page, we are also only a couple of “likers” away from a giveaway. Have you “liked” us yet?

Our last challenge at Challenge Me Happy - you still have a few days to enter – is a word challenge. The word is “NEW”, and here is my take; using Pink Paislee goodies from Scrappin’ Patch!

I’ve also kept up with the New Year’s Crop over at the Nook. Here’s a LO that was for a scraplift – of myself! I lifted my “My Man“ LO, and this is what I did:

I also created my FIRST EVER TAG for the crop, and I used a couple of D-Lish resin roses on it. They are delish for sure! My tag was actually featured on the Nook blog, and chosen as the weekly feature on the Nook message board. Who’d have thought?!?!?

OK. I think that’s it. :)  I am working on something for EVERY team I am on at the moment (plus some challenges), so should have a few things to show you soon again, That’s if I can remember to blog about it… :)

Thanks for visiting!

Like coming home

Posted by swewi on January 11, 2012

Have you heard? I’m back on the Scrappin’ Patch DT! Honestly, it feels like coming home. I think both the Patch and I needed this year away from each other, but it feel just amazing to be back on the team! Check out the blog & see who the other lucky ladies are – Adrienne is still announcing the team, one designer at a time!

So. I have been scrapping. I have done two LO’s for the crop that is happening on the Nook messageboard at the moment. Using Crate Paper and some lovely D-lish goodies, and I’m in heaven. I’m stoked with how these two LO’s came out. What do you think??

Now. I’ve actually got ONE MORE scrappy secret… Stay tuned for that announcement soon!

It’s D-Lish!

Posted by swewi on January 4, 2012

Have you seen the new blinkie over there >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>?

Yep – I’ve joined the D-Lish Scraps DT! They have SUCH cool stuff, a fantastic team, and I am so happy to be part of it all!

Here is my first LO, using flowers, resin roses & gems from D-Lish Scraps. Papers are from The Scrap Cake.

Love those resin roses!

And then – shock horror – I’ve made a DOUBLE LO! Thanks to the challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch. Can’t even remember the last time I did one! To be honest, it came together fairly quickly, thanks to Echo Park papers & embellies & beautiful photos of my lovely family… :)

And left & right sides by themselves:

And some details – ’cause I can!

So – I’ve had a very creative start to the year. What about you??

11 from 11

Posted by swewi on December 28, 2011

It’s that time of the year. To choose the fav creations of the year that has been. It was tough – and that’s a good thing, right? I chose 11 favourites from 2011, but could have chosen more for sure. I managed to make 125 LO’s this year, and for someone who works full time – that feels like a great number. Add some cards and OTP’s to that as well, and you can say I have kept myself busy…

Hope you enjoy, and let me know which one is YOUR favourite! :) My previous favourites can be found here: 2010, 2009, 2008.

So – there you go. Thanks for all your visits & comments this past year, I hope you stick around for 2012 as well!

A couple of LO’s, some cards and a winner!

Posted by swewi on December 26, 2011

Hope you have all had a fabulous Christmas, wherever or however you have celebrated! Me, my DH & my two girls are having a nice quiet time together, and that’s just how I like it!

I’d like to share a couple of my latest LO’s, and at the bottom of the post there will be a winner for my NOOK calendar RAK!

First – two LO’s that I did for Mollys scrapbooking. I always get so much fun products from her, and this time was no exeption. A box full of Crate Paper & Studio Calico goodness, what else could a girl wish for?

Liking the misting and masking lately…

A LO JUST FOR ME – that doesn’t happen very often – using MME papers & embellies. I just LOVE MME, but you know that already! :)

Then, my latest cards – I’m kinda liking how they came out… I managed to get in the top three in the Nook competition, and I’m mighty proud of myself for doing that. The ever so talanted Anabelle took the top spot, and I don’t think anyone was surprised by that. She is one amazing lady!

This one was featured on the Cosmo Cricket blog last week!

This one is pretty full on, but I love it all the same!

OK. Now the moment you have aaaaaaaalllll been waiting for, my RAK winner. RANDOM.ORG helped me out:

Congratulations Cassandra!

Please email me: annelie.maddock[at]gmail.com with your address so that I can send the goodies to you!!

Wishing you all a great LAST week of 2011. I will be back in a few days with my favourite LO’s of 2011. Let me know if you are doing the same!

Door #16 in the Nook Advent Calendar

Posted by swewi on December 16, 2011

Hi and welcome to door #16 in My Scrap book Nook’s Advent Calendar! If you haven’t followed the blog hop so far, it’s not too late. Start hopping!

Or hey, how’s it going – if you’re a regular visitor!! :)

Well however you got here – I’m glad you’re here – and make sure you read all the way to the bottom of the post, there’s a giveaway!!

If you know me, you know that I have a hard time getting in to the Merry Season since I moved to New Zealand. But – ever since I had kids, I try really hard every year to get in to it. This year I have made some Christmas cards, and I have only a few presents left to buy, but I have STILL not felt very “merry”. :)

So, a little while ago, I sat down to create a little thing I have been thinking about for a while. If you saw my “crea diem” class for Scotties a few months back this is nothing new to you, but for everyone else I thought I’d do a step by step to show you how easy this little baby came together. This is what I made:

To make this you need Spellbinders “Nested Lacey Pennants”, “Ironwork Accents” & “Foliage”. I have used MME papers, a line from last year: “Holly Jolly”, and misc decorations.

Here is a little show and tell, it’s actually very simple!

That’s it! I am so happy with how it came together, and I hope I have inspired you to make your own this Christmas! If you do – make sure you let me know so that I can check it out!

Now – for the giveaway. This is what you can win from ME if you comment on this post between today and Christmas Day:

Aaaaaaaaand – make sure you hop on over to Leah Killian’s blog and get entered for the grand prize sometime between now and Christmas Morning. You could win a free subscription to the always inspiring Nook kits!!!
