I’m amazed

Posted by swewi on November 2, 2009

Someone told me that I have a LO featured here. It’s just so cool, especially since I’ve never heard of this place. What an honour!!

And then, sharing time. I’ve set a new shabby chic challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch. Create a NON SQUARE LO with at least one piece of chipboard. Ths DT ladies have created some stunning work as always. This is mine:

DSC01856-1

Products used: BG Indian Summer pp’s, Prima flowers & lace, misch chipboard painted with white crackle paint, Tim Holtz metal embellishment, misc lace, pearls & feathers. Alphas are Carolee’s Creations & MM.

That’s all for now. Looking forward to a whole weekend of scrapping at the Sketchbook Retreat, starting Friday afternoon. Bring it on!!!

Webster’s Pages

Posted by swewi on October 14, 2009

Lately, I’ve been using Webster’s Pages on a few LO’s. I was scared of cutting those GORGEOUS papers up before, but I think I’ve gotten over it. :) So – imagine my surprise and HAPPY DANCE when I found out I was featured with one of my LO’s in their gallery! I only joined the other day, so I was just SHOCKED! There are over 3,500 LO’s in their gallery, and MY PAGE was one of five to be featured this time. Soooo cool!

And, of course, I have a new LO using Wester’s Pages to share…

DSC01800-1

I’ve stuck a piece of my MIL’s old satin curtain and a dress pattern together with some PRIMA lace behind the photo. There are also ZVA creative flowers, Prima leaves, 2Crafty chipboard, Tim Holtz metal frame, misc charm & PRIMA alphas on the page.

Most of these product can be found in the  Scrappin’ Patch  shop as usual!

I have wanted to use these lyrics from my fav Gavin deGraw song on a LO forever. A discussion with my friend on Facebook (thanks Louise!) pushed me to do it. I’m very happy with the result!

The LO is my example for Heidi’s challenge over at the Sketchbook this week. Go check it out!

Together

Posted by swewi on October 11, 2009

Today while blog sufring, I came across a challenge over at the Lime Tart/Zest blog. Even though my “to do list” is miles long, I decided I NEEDED to do his challenge. Nutty? Who? Me?

Anyway, the deadline is tomorrow morning, so I ended up rushing it a bit, and didn’t manage to get a photo of the LO in daylight. So – sorry about the darkish, unfoused photo of the LO. I love this photo of my DH & Elsa though… :)

Scrap 438

Products used: Bazzill cs, patterned pp from MME “Bohemia” and BG “Indian Summer”. Chipboard from Tattered Angels & Maya Road, inked & sprayed with glimmermist. Bling from Prima, tag from Pink Paislee, lace from Webster’s Pages, pins from Heidi Grace, misc brads & charm. The flower is handmade from fabric. Got the idea from siilar ones I got on Etsy.  Have also used some (a lot!!!) of  Tim Holtz distress ink “vintage photo” on my pp’s.

Thanks for stopping by, and remember that every comment goes into my draw for a nice RAK…

Yay!

Posted by swewi on October 2, 2009

I haven’t been able to log on to SiSTV the last few days for some reason. It’s been a little bit annoying, but I get that sometimes, with some sites. But just now I could, and I discovered that I’m on the CATWALK! I am so happy!!!! It’s the third time for me, and I just feel so honored and HAPPY!!!!

:)

*doing a little happy dance*

So, that made my night! I’ve also just finished something I have struggled with for a little while, so am feeling pretty good right now!

Aaaaaaaanyway. Here’s a few LO’s I’d like to share. The first one is for a shabby chic challenge that was posted on SWE Scrapbook blog yesterday:

Have used Websters Pages paper & alphas, Prima alphas and a clock stamp from Montarga.

This LO is for Liz’ designers choice challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch. It’s to use primary colours and a song title for your TITLE. :) I found it HARD to scrap in primary colours, but with a splash of Prima flowers, brads from Pink Paislee & AC thickers I managed to get a page done!!

Scrap 431

Scrappin’ Patch is celebrating their 2nd birthday in October, and there’s a lot of fun things happening over there! The first “birthday challenge” was set yesterday, and it’s all about SCRAPBOOKING. This is an example from me, using Karen Foster pp’s and embellies, Tattered Angel’s glimmermist, Prima flowers  leaves, pearlmaker & alphas from Carolee’s Creations.

Changes

Posted by swewi on September 28, 2009

There are a lot of changes happening in our house. Our baby Elsa (almost 9 months) has moved to her own room, and so far it seems she’s sleeping a lot better. This means I’m sleeping better – and more – and that must be good!!! Our big girl Tova (who seems to grow up right in front of my eyes) is not having her bedtime bottle anymore, goes to the toilet without any assistance, and says “I love you mamma” without me having to say “I love you” first. I guess it’s safe to say she’s not a baby anymore…

So. Yes. Things are changing. I think I have to change a few things in my life as well, but being older it seems a little bit harder for some reason!!! The fact that we now have dalight savings seem to have some sort of inpact on me, I just need to figure out how and why…

Right, enough rambling. That’s not why you’re here! :)   Let’s get down to business!!

First, I’d like to proudly present my friend from forever; ANNA, who I have recently tricked into this wonderfully addictive hobby. She went shopping the other day, and then sat down to create her first LO. Check it out on her blog, it’s FABUOLUS! I cannot believe this is her first one! My first one did definately not look that good… I’m proud of you my friend!!!

Then, time to share my latest stuff.

First a LO for SWE Scrapbook, for the new sketch challenge that’s up today:

Products used: Kaisercraft pp, Magdas flowers, Robin’s Nest dewdrops, & alphas are Jenni Bowlin & Carolee’s Creations.

Then, a LO that I did from a sketch by this talended Swedish lady:

Scrap 432

This is one of the three LO’s I did at the crop I went to on Saturday. Well. I almost finished them there, just added titles and stuff at home…

On this LO I have used a Bazzill craft cardstock, papers and embellies are October Afternoon, alphas are Ocotober Afternoon & Pink Paislee. Am very happy with this LO actually… :)

And then, a LO “just because”. Not many of those getting done nowadays, huh… :) A LO full of Jillibean Soup stuff – looooooooooove their products!!!

new gum boots

As you know, I get most of my stuff from Scrappin’ Patch. Just thought I’d mention it again… :) I posted a short tutorial on the forum today, to make a very simple, but cool card. Go check it out!

I have also made a LO for one of Liz’ challenges that goes up today, but I’ll wait to share ’til she’s posted it on the forum… :) I’ve also got a sneaky peak to share, for a kit that will be sold at Scrappin’ Patch very soooooo. But I’ll share that another day… :)

Thanks for stopping by, hope your week is a WONDERFUL week!!

So…

Posted by swewi on August 24, 2009

…it seems the new Scrapbooking magazine “Innovations” has problems. Whatever the reason, I think this is really sad. I had one LO published in issue 2, and two accepted for issue 3. I had also submitted another LO for a later issue. I’ve decided to share all of these LO’s now.

Scrap 266

Have used mostly Jenni Bowlin pp’s and embellies on this one. The ribbon is Prima, the flowers are Maya Road and the bling is ZVA Create.

A 021 (3)

On this LO I have used MME & Kaisercraft pp’s, Prima flowers, bling & bird stamp, Pearlmaker & some other misc stuff. Alphas are CArolee’s Creations and AC.

This next LO is a double in one… :) Have used my Zutter BIA to make a second page.

such a blessing page 1 - Annelie Maddock

such a blessing page 2 - Annelie Maddock

Papers are Bazzill and Little Yellow Bicycle, flowers and bling are of course Prima. The alphas are AC & Pink Paislee.

I was really looking forward seeing my stuff in print, but what can I do…

This is the LO I submitted, but never got a reply:

Anyway. Moving on… :)

There’s a new multi photo challenge up at Scrappin’ Patch, and this is my example. A double 8,5×11″ for my Sweden album:

DSC01500-1

Products used: Bazzill swiss dotted cs, October Afternoon pp’s, alphas and embellies, flower swirl from Green Tara. It’s a two week challenge so there’s plenty of time to get over there and play along!

Right. I have a long to-do list, so better get going. Oh. And there’s children to feed and play with too!!

Have a great week!!

The good, the bad and the ugly

Posted by swewi on August 12, 2009

The good: Mr Mojo has been doing short visits to my scrap studio.   :) I have hopes he will come for a longer visit soon!!!

The bad: the head honcho at the Swedish challenge blog Liftvarning, where I was lucky enough to be CT member, have decided to not continue with the site. It’s a real shame, and I’m really sad about this. Her reasons are all understandable, but it doesn’t make it less sad. If I had more hours in the day, I would take over, but it’s not really something I can do right now.

The ugly: my house. It’s such a mess!! The last few days I’ve been concentrating on my sick little baby, and have put all the chores on the back burner. I know I’ve done the right thing, but man!! The house looks like it’s been hit by a tornado!!! After another doctors visit with Elsa today, I have hopes that she’ll be better soon, and that will hopefully mean I’ll find some time to do some cleaning. Not that I want to IYKWIM, but it needs to be done. Ugly I tell ya!!!

OK, so I have some LO’s to show you. In my last post I totally forgot to show the last creations I did with my last kit from Scrappin’ Patch. So here they are now:

DSC01385

Products used: Prima paper stack “Sasha” pp’s, Bazzill cs, butterflies are Bazzill just the edge that I’ve cut out, and I’ve sprayed them with glimmermist. Then some twine, Heidi Swapp pin, Carolee’s Creations and BG alphas.

I also made two cards with the scraps I had left:

DSC01382

DSC01383

With my kit also came ONE pp from Basic Grey’s Lime Rickey collection. You know how much I love Lime Rickey, so was happy about that!! I added some Bazzill cs, a Prima flower, some Lime Rickey chipboard and BG alphas.

Scrap 388

All the DT girls @ Scrappin’ Patch got a little parcel last week, containing some Prima leaves and some Robin’s Nest dewdrops. This is how I used mine:

Scrap 400

Other products used: I sprayed some glimmermist on a Bazzill swiss dotted cs, and cut out the clouds, the frame is MME, the cherries are October afternoon. I made a fabric button with a Prima stamp, and the alphas are AC thickers and Webster’s Pages.

The title says “Safe with mum”, and the journaling is about how we when the photo was taken were oblivious about what was going to happen the next day – going to Starship hospital and staying there for three days. Not a happy memory, but an important one!

Then, a LO for the latest weekly challenge over at the Sketchbook, set by me!! The challenge is to use products from two manufacturers only. I have used Cosmo Cricket pp’s and embellies, and AC thickers. The title says “peek-a-boo!”.

Scrap 396

Then, a LO with my new favourite photo :) :

Scrap 392

Products used: Bazzill kraft cs, Prima & Bo Bunny patterned pp, Collage Press journaling spot, Kaisercraft pearls, Prima flower, MM pins, twine, Prima packaging, butterfly and leaves made of cardboard, MME word and Carolee’s Creations and AC alphas.

OK. Last one for tonight. Promise! :) A LO with BG Junebug & Lemonade pp’s:

Scrap 402

Other prodcts used: October Afternoon stickers, Bazzill pom pom ribbon, AC thickers and Carolee’s Creations alphas.

Thanks for taking time to stop in, will be back soon!!!

No people

Posted by swewi on July 25, 2009

It’s not often I do LO’s without people – or my girls really – in the photos. But today I have TWO LO’s with not a single person in them to share! Funny that!!!

The first one is for this weeks challenge that I set over at The Sketchbook. The challenge is to scrap monochromatically. I choose white – and it was really hard!!! The photos are from the house where my parents live, in south of Sweden.

DSC01381

Products used: Bazzill embossed cs, Queen&co felt swirl, punchinella, Zva Creations flowers, MM pin, Pink Paislee alphas covered with pearlmaker, BG chipboard alphas covered with crackle paint, misc ribbon and buttons.

The next LO is a cute little story about a stone…

DSC01387-1

Products used: Bazzill cs, MME patterned pp, Pink Paislee chipboard (branch), Maya Road chipboard (love) sprayed with glimmermist, AC ribbon, Heidi Swapp pins, flower from Spotlight, Rose Moka alphas, lots of Pinecone ink, twine, & misc charm & buttons. Have also used Fiskars lace border punch.

I’ve got a few more things finished, but it’s all DT stuff so I can’t show you just yet!

Hope your weekend is a good one. I’m struggling, as I haven’t slept much the last few days. Baby stuff… Thank goodness for scrapbooking to keep me happy!!!

;)

Oh my…

Posted by swewi on July 19, 2009

…over a week since my last post. Not good is it… I’ve  been so busy, and I have had little or no sleep the last few nights as my baby Elsa is teething.

Anyway… There’s been moments of creativity almost every day, and for that I am grateful!

Here are my latest projects, and I warn you – there are a LOT of photos!!!

First off, some stuff I have done for Scrappin’ Patch - my favourite shop in the whole wide world!!! They have sooooo much new products in the shop at the moment, I’m loosing my mind!!! (and my DH’s hard earnt money…) At the moment they’re putting up NEW PRIMA stuff pretty much every day. But you better get in quick, they are selling it just as fast!!!

So. Like I said, time to share.

This first LO was a class kit that Scrappin’ Patch  provided to the lucky ladies attending their crop a couple of weeks ago. I have used one piece of cardstock, one piece of patterned paper from My Little Shoebox, one Green Tara flower, one journaling ticket from Jenni Bowlin, some pom pom ribbon from Bazzill, some buttons, the Fiskars “apron lace” border punch and a couple of different colours of glilmmermist. The title is cut out on my cricut.

summer

Adrienne and Pauline also sent me half a Fancy Pants “Delight” journal book, some flowers, buttons and acetate. This is what I made from that – and I had SO MUCH FUN!!!

I added lots and lots of buttons from my own stack, some more flowers, got a bit crazy with my pearlmakers, also added some American Crafts ribbon, Peterlina and Prima stamps, Inkadinkado aplha stamps, alphas from Basic Grey and Carolee’s Creations. The album rings are Kaisercraft.

I can’t wait to get the book back and give it to my MIL. She’s gonna love it!

This next LO is for the latest sketch challenge over at Scrappin’ Patch , set by the lovely Heidi. Get over there to check out the other contributors examples. They rock!!!

Scrap 381

Products used: Jenni Bowlin die cut pp as base, patterned pp, embellies and chipboard letters are Basic Grey “Marrakesh”. The bling swirl is also BG. Have also used punchinella and Carolee’s Creations minialphas.

And then we have a couple of Lime Rickey LO’s – of course!!! I’m starting to run out of those papers though… :) On this first LO I have added a journaling thingie from Little Yellow Bicycle, isn’t it cool?? You can of course find it in the Scrappin’ Patch shop… ;) The alphas are BG. And if you look closely, there’s some stiches there!!!

Scrap 380

This next LO is about a girl that is not mine. Therefore the blurred photo. She’s such a joy this girl, and this photo was perfect for the “joy” challenge at the OLW blog. Apart from the Lime Rickey I’ve used Pink Paislee alphas.

Scrap 377

On the next LO I used a couple of scrap papers (yay me!!). The pearl swirl and flower vine is of course Prima, the butterflies from 2Crafty are sprayed with glimmermist. The alphas are AC & Carolee’s creations, and then there’s some lace, buttos and AC ribbon too. Isn’t she sooooo cute on this photo my little Elsa??

Scrap 376

OK, last one. Good job if you made it all the way here!! A very simple LO with Bazzill cs, and then pp’s and embellies from American craft. The alphas are also AC, and OCtober Afternoon.

DSC01384

Believe it or not, I actually have more to share, but not now. I’m far too tired now, and I’m sure you are too!!!

Have a great start to the new week, I hope to see you back here soon!!!

Schizophrenic???

Posted by swewi on July 11, 2009

Was just wondering… Does the fact that my two latest LO’s are TOTALLY different mean that I’m schizophrenic? That sure would explain a couple of things…

:)

See for yourself…

Scrap 379

Title says “little froggy”. Products from Pink Paislee, Cosmo Cricket, Sassafras Lass, MM. Alphas from Carolee’s creations and Pink Paislee. White space, anyone???

Scrap 378

Products used: Papers from Webster’s Pages, flower vine and leaves from Prima, flowers from Zva Creations and Spotlight, alphas from American Craft.

So. What do you think?
