1st of the month reveal

SO it’s my birthday month! YAY!!! Won’t celebrate all month though, but got a few fun things planned. Lucky me!!

 

Today is the first day of the month, which means a new challenge is up at Challenge Me Happy! Our new designers have their fist challenge LO up, and all the “old” designers have of course joined them. It’s an AWESOME challenge and a FANTASTIC reveal!! This is my take, but PLEASE go and check all the other inspiration out. And participate – it’s the easiest challenge we’ve had so far!! There’s also a fantastic kit from Mollys Scrapbooking to be won. Yay!!

 

 

I was lucky enough to get sponsored materil from Scrappin’ Patch this month. This is paper & acetate frame from the “Summer’s End” colletion from Fancy Pants. I have to say I struggled a little with the acetate (frame), but finally did something I am quite happy about! I love the soft colours in this collection, together with the orange & bright green!

 

Then – Handmade Halo has their first ever challenge up. A lovely sketch by the talented Em Stafrace. This is my BRIGHT take on the sketch, using Halo goodies:

 

 

 

 

I love this photo of Elsa. It catches her stubborn and independent personality perfectly. She definately goes her own way already…

Priceless

Have you seen the MASTERCARD ads? The punchline is always “something something something… priceless…”. That’s what I had in my head whilst creating this LO about Tova finally getting to hang out with her favourite aunt who lives in England. It’s my latest LO for Challenge Me Happy, and I’ve used mainly HALO goodies on there!

 

And can you believe the Christmas card I shared in my last post won me a prize over at Fancy Pants? I sure can’t! Amazing… Because of that I’ll share a simple card I made for Molly’s recently, using Pink Paislee papers & a lovely Manorhouse Creations flower.

I have been planning to blog all week, but I have been busy busy busy so it hasn’t happened. The fact that my flu came back as well wasn’t helping either! I’m so over flu season – bring on summer!!!

…that I was the DT’s choice this week over at the fantastic sketch blog “Veckans Skiss“? Funnily enough I was NOT happy with this LO, but since I had made the LO after their sketch, I sent it in… Here it is:

 

 

…the sun lately? I have and I LOVE it! Can’t wait for proper summer to arrive!!!

Well whaddayaknow…

…I SCRAPPED! Sunday afternoon I decided to take an hour to shuffle some stuff around in my scrap studio – and I ended up doing THREE LO’s! After two weeks of nothing – boom! They might not be the most complicated or amazing LO’s I’ve ever done, but I’m creating again, and my girls like them. And THAT has to be the most important thing!

As I am one to scrap recent photos more happily than old photos, I’m trying to challenge myself to do a little of both at the moment. So that’s what I did. I scrapped one old photo, one not so old photo,and one almost brand new photo. For the first two LO’s I’ve used Little Yellow Bicycle papers & embellies. I seem to always go back to BRIGHT colours when I’ve been in a creative rut!

And for this next LO I used Echo Park “Victoria Gardens” and some LOOOVELY resin embellies from Halo Scrapbooking. You need to check that site out if you haven’t already!

I’m so happy to be scrapping again. Long may it last!

More D-lish and fabulous news!

Today I sat down and created a LO I’ve had in my head for a little while. It took me about 20 minutes to do. I had the idea, I just needed to decide on photo, colours and  go! It’s with gorgeous stuff from D-lish Scraps, some Prima lace/bling & alphas, and some glimmermist. The chipboard piece is from Magistical Memories!
